Joltin' Joey DeMalavez
Owner/Trainer

Welcome to Manayunk's Joltin' Jabs, run by Manayunk native Joltin' Joey DeMalavez.  What began over 29 years ago as a way to keep Joey out of trouble  led to a youth of boxing experience, a professional career, and now a lifestyle of promoting fitness, energy, and self-confidence.  As a young Manayunk local and student at W.B. Saul High School ("Pluck them Chickens, Milk them cows..."), Joe worked his way to a Golden Gloves (silver) championship in Lancaster, PA propelling him towards a professional career while enduring regular responsibilities (working, parenting, etc).  Joey's last fight was in 2007, dispatching his opponent in the first minute, KO.  He finished his professional career with a 6-2 (4 KO's) record, although his losses were controversial.
